What happens during your treatment – At MP Skin Aesthetics we work hard to ensure you have all the information you need to help you make a decision and feel comfortable with your individual treatment plan.

Your Clinician will discuss with you your goals and assess your treatment needs. This process enables your Clinician to tailor the treatment to your specific skin condition needs and target the areas for treatment.

Preparation before your treatment – Your Clinician will cleanse your face to prep your skin, then undertake the microdermabrasion procedure.

Treatment – The special microdermabrasion applicator is passed over the selected areas of your skin. The abrasive surface will gently remove the thick outer layer of the skin. The treatment can take between 15 – 30 minutes.

After your treatment – Your Clinician will cleanse your face and follow up with an application of moisturiser and sunscreen, and you’re done.

Microdermabrasion can be described as:

Potential Side Effects

Side effects of microdermabrasion are very rare.

Applying moisturiser after your treatment will help minimise dry and flaky skin.

Skin typically regenerates approximately every 30-days. The benefits from microdermabrasion are usually seen after about two weeks.

Microdermabrasion treatments can take place every 4-6  weeks. Your Clinician will discuss with you the results and review further treatment options if necessary.
