Dr Hamish McLachlan
Dr Hamish McLachlan graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2012 and attained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. He is also an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Currently he works full time as a skin cancer doctor and also teaches for the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
Dr Hamish has further developed his training in Skin Cancer medicine by completing:
- Membership Course with the Australian Institute of Dermatology.
- The advanced surgical certificate with the Australian Institute of Dermatology
- Certificate in Skin Cancer – Skin Cancer College of Australasia

Dr Michelle Pearse
Dr Michelle Pearse MBChB FACSCM FSCCA graduated from the University of Auckland Medical school in 1990 and moved to Queensland in 2000 where she has since worked exclusively in skin cancer medicine.
Dr Pearse received her:
- Fellowship of the Australian College of Skin Cancer Medicine – 2012
- Fellowship of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. – 2013.
As a Fellow, Dr Pearse is extremely familiar with all forms of melanoma and non melanoma skin cancers and has a special interest in complicated flaps and grafts and dermatological surgery of the head and lower limb.
Dr Amy Kennell
Dr Amy Kennell graduated from King’s College London in 2006 and has been working as a GP since 2011, and also worked as medical lead at a local vaccination hub last year.
Dr Amy has been working as a GP in Australia since 2012 and during this time has developed a special interest in skin cancer medicine. She has completed:

- Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy, HealthCert
- Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine, HealthCert
- Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, HealthCert

Dr Amy is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin cancer and related skin conditions. Dr Amy is looking forward to developing long-standing relationships with patients.
Outside of her work she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors, mountain biking, hiking, surfing and diving.
Dr Hazel Addison
Dr Hazel Addison graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1998, has worked as a GP since 2005 and moved to Australia where she has worked on the peninsula since 2013.
She has always enjoyed the procedural aspect of practice and developed a keen interest in skin cancer medicine shortly after arriving in Melbourne.
She has completed:
- Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine – Skin Cancer College of Australasia 2013
- Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery – Healthcert 2017
When not at work, Hazel enjoys spending time with her young family and her energetic cocker spaniels, running, cooking and playing violin with the Peninsula Chamber Musicians and the Frankston Symphony Orchestra.
Dr Praveen Hetti Thanthrige
Dr Thanthrige graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2007. After a brief period of working in urban and rural hospitals in Sri Lanka he moved to New Zealand and worked for a decade in public hospitals and General Practice before attaining fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2020.
Dr Thanthrige moved to Australia permanently in 2022 and attained fellowship with Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2023. Dr Thanthrige is a General Practitioner and Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. He has further developed his training in Skin Cancer medicine by completing:
- Certificate in Skin Cancer – Skin Cancer College of Australasia
- Certificate of Dermoscopy – Skin Cancer College of Australasia
- Professional certificate of clinical procedures – Healthcert Australia
- Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery – Skin Cancer College of Australia
Dr Thanthrige constantly attends various medical conferences to keep his skills and knowledge up to date.
